Left The Volcanic island…

We pulled anchor around 09.00 and motored for about 30 minutes, raised the sails and watched the wind keep the sails full. Although at times the boat speed was 0.5 knots, the sails managed to stay full. The wind speed at 2.5 knots only lasted for about an hour. I thought to myself, “this is good practice for the doldrums around the equator… just find something to do and do it well”. I polished the boat!

As I watched the volcano disappear behind me, I practice my C, D, E, F and G on my ukulele! Today will be my second day (hour) of ukulele, throughout my sailing journey! Boat is sailing by itself thanks to the Hydrovane, the best helms-woman onboard!

Ukulele, reading, writing and of course…some more polishing of stainless items on deck! Check out these dorades!

Love the self steering… she will take Sarantium to the other side through the night while I stare at the screen!
