Day 22… a long night.

We are inching our way with so little wind… days are long and sun is intense here at the equator.

Lovely night… trying to decide if I am ready for land or just want to stay out here forever!

Weather routing, below, looks good as winds kick in this evening!

Creeping through the doldrums😔

Morning-dip-routine starts the day off, just right!

Ps. The name, ”Gooseneck” barnacles derives from the mid-evil naturalists believing that geese were hatched from the barnacles. Maybe we will have a goose for dinner or just gooseneck stew?

  1. Wow, what a beautiful sunset, absolutely spectacular! The weather routing is looking good, no doubt you’re going to be flying along very soon. And now you are sounding a bit like Bernard Moitessier during his ’68 Golden Globe race – finding the journey so intoxicating that you don’t want it to end … Well, that just might be the most wonderful state of mind to be in, I would imagine. Fair winds to you both. 🙏🏻

  2. Interesting that you mention it; I have been wondering whether you are longing for land, without it in sight for a few weeks now, or if it maybe has the opposite effect of feeling as one with the ocean and not wanting to leave that environment?
